THEIR STORY
Joanna, the artist behind Ribbon and Knot, returned to dice making in early 2024, seeking healing after postpartum depression. What began as a quiet act of self-reconnection turned into a growing, joy-filled business she never expected. Her handmade washi tape dice blends Asian-inspired artistry with the magic of tabletop storytelling. Every drop she launches (just once every 4-6 weeks) is a limited-time celebration of delicate, intentional design. But despite the beauty and meaning behind each piece, her model presented a challenge: how to build real buzz and drive high-impact results in such short, infrequent sales windows?
OUR STRATEGY
Because Ribbon and Knot operate with a highly specific launch model, short sales periods followed by complete site shutdowns, we developed a custom strategy to match Joanna’s rhythm. Two weeks ahead of her June 7th drop, we launched a Traffic campaign focused on the email list growth and pre-launch buzz, targeting tabletop gamers and storytelling lovers, with the goal of driving warm, high-intent traffic before the dice even hit the store. Once the drop opened, we immediately activated both TOF and Middle of Funnel (MOF) campaigns simultaneously, knowing there was no time to waste. TOF audiences included lookalikes based on her customer list, site traffic, email list, and Instagram engagers. MOF targeted warm audiences from the past 90 days.
