THEIR STORY
Joni, the owner of River to Ridge, came to us after feeling let down by previous marketing efforts. With a strong background in retail, having owned a brick-and-mortar store and run a previous women-focused hunting lifestyle brand, she noticed a growing demand from men as well, which led her to create River to Ridge: a hunting lifestyle brand for both men and women.
Unfortunately, her past marketing agency failed to understand the brand’s positioning, treating it as functional hunting gear rather than a lifestyle brand. Even with high-quality content from creators and an engaged Instagram following of over 16K, her traffic wasn’t converting, and website visitors weren’t becoming customers. She knew the potential was there but needed a strategic partner to help unlock it.
OUR STRATEGY
Our first step was clarifying the brand’s identity as a lifestyle brand rooted in the hunting and patriotic culture, just apparel for hunters.
We used the political moment around the elections to reach highly aligned audiences, patriots and Republicans who often resonate with the hunting lifestyle. Rather than relying on obvious interests like “hunting” or “camo,” we went deeper, targeting interests around conservative celebrities, patriotic influencers, and right-leaning lifestyle/adventure brands to build a more qualified audience pool.
At the same time, we audited and optimized the website to align better with the mindset of this niche, updating the messaging, simplifying the shopping experience, and focusing on elements that built trust and urgency. These changes alone helped double the site’s conversion rate.
As a result, we significantly increased monthly revenue and set a stronger foundation for long-term growth.
